84% of companies prioritize storing their data within their own country, whilst 81% want it stored no further afield than the EU. These are the findings of adesso’s GenAI Impact Report 2026. Through its subsidiary adesso as a service GmbH, the IT service provider is now offering IT managers the adesso AI Hub, a platform that enables them to ensure precisely that: transparency and governance across the entire range of AI usage within the company, including control over the infrastructure on which models are run and data is processed.

Many companies are still exploring the basic applications of AI agents, while even fewer use them productively despite their popularity among countless people in the IT industry. The reason for the limited use of AI agents is a lack of understanding of what makes agent-based development fundamentally different from anything that has come before. No coding assistant, prompt-engineering workshop, or pilot project can resolve this issue.

IT service provider adesso has confirmed its preliminary figures for 2025, published in February, with the presentation of its consolidated financial statements. Despite a challenging general economic climate throughout the year, adesso increased revenue organically by 14 percent to 1.47 billion euros (previous year: 1.29 billion euros). In doing so, the company achieved a 30 percent improvement in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) to 123.6 million euros (previous year: 94.8 million euros). adesso has thus slightly exceeded the 2025 revenue forecast range and achieved an operating profit at the upper end of the forecast range.
