adesso Belgium opens its doors: our new presence in the Benelux region

adesso continues to push ahead with its international growth strategy, having opened a subsidiary in Belgium on June 1, 2025. The new presence in the heart of Brussels serves, among other things, as a strategic bridgehead to the European Union. adesso is sending a clear signal: proximity to European institutions is to be utilized in a targeted manner to strengthen collaboration with public-sector clients at the EU level. Hence, the IT service provider is emphasizing its commitment to playing an active role in shaping the digital transformation in Europe.

Robust growth is driven by collaborative benefits and deep market expertise

Roel de Cuyper will assume the management of adesso's Belgian subsidiary and will also guide the company's Benelux operations. The experienced IT manager, previously Sales Director at the Belgian IT consultancy LACO, brings extensive market knowledge and a strong local network to his new role. In the initial growth phase, the sales focus of the Belgian office will be on projects in various areas, including the financial services and public sectors, both industries in which the adesso Group has extensive experience. The branches in Belgium and the Netherlands will work closely together in the future to drive joint growth in the region. They will continue to operate independently to preserve their local character and to do justice to adesso's "global-local player" approach in both markets.

Rooted locally, connected globally

The Belgian subsidiary will not only operate as a sales location but will also provide onshore delivery services. To this end, local consulting and development capacities will be successively established along the growth path and integrated into the existing supra-regional capacities from the DACH region and the Netherlands. The BeNeLux locations also have full access to the adesso Group's nearshore and offshore network, supporting regional customers. They, therefore, benefit from a high degree of local proximity combined with international scalability.

"The new site in Brussels is another milestone on our way to actively shaping the digital future of Europe," explains Mark Lohweber, CEO of adesso SE. "We are bringing a breath of fresh air to the Belgian IT market – with a unique blend of innovation, agility, and care. Our customers benefit from fast, structured processes, a deep understanding of the industry, and access to scalable delivery capacities. With our global local player approach, we also create the basis for sustainable local digital partnerships – in Belgium, the entire Benelux region, and beyond.”
