Oliver Schobert named Chief Sales Officer at adesso

The IT service provider adesso has appointed Oliver Schobert to serve as its Chief Sales Officer (CSO). The 49-year-old will focus on corporate account management within the adesso Group. In this newly created position, Schobert will report directly to the CEO of adesso AG.

By strengthening its sales team, adesso is underscoring its growth ambitions. The company, which maintains 21 locations in Germany and 14 abroad, has its sights set on being one of Europe’s leading IT service providers. The 20 % rise in sales recorded in the first half of 2019 recently reaffirmed adesso’s successful strategy.

In the person of Oliver Schobert, the company is gaining a nationally and internationally well-connected, experienced sales expert who is capable of taking a strategic approach to attracting new key accounts and expanding existing relationships with major customers. The electrical engineer by training will also be responsible for activities such as coordinating adesso’s strategic account planning in the long term and defining targets for the acquisition and support of selected top customers, including leading major enterprises that the company already serves or hopes to attract in the future. Schobert plans to add a large number of new positions in sales and expand adesso’s corporate account management activities between now and the middle of 2020.

Describing the role of the company’s new CSO, Michael Kenfenheuer, CEO of adesso, says: “In Oliver Schobert, we are gaining an experienced sales professional with a successful, long-standing track record at major IT companies who knows a thing or two about doing business with our key accounts. He will enable us to increase the number of major customers in the long term and will assist us in providing them with highly individualised service and support to help them meet the challenges of their industries and the market environment while also addressing their specific needs.”

In his most recent position as Vice President, Central Region, at T-Systems International GmbH, Schobert was responsible for the direct sales business for 130 enterprise customers. As part of his work, he successfully helped to promote progress on future areas of digitalisation, such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence, security and the Internet of Things.
