adesso opens new office in Lausanne

adesso Switzerland, a subsidiary of adesso AG, continues to pursue its expansion strategy and will be represented in the French-speaking part of Switzerland in the future. The IT service provider is now opening a branch in Lausanne to support the existing offices in Zurich, Bern and Basel, which together already employ 250 people.

The opening of this fourth branch in Switzerland brings adesso even closer to its customers in the western part of the country and allows it to serve the industries that are at home in the region. Sébastien Fabbri, whose native language is French and who knows the market in western Switzerland inside out, has been hired as adesso’s branch manager. His linguistic and cultural knowledge will be essential to helping the company gain a foothold in Romandy.

The office is situated at an attractive location provided by the recently opened Gotham co-working space in the heart of Lausanne’s central Flon quarter, where adesso and its partners at Red Hat will be renting some ten workspaces for the time being.

adesso Switzerland is an accredited premier business partner and expert for the Red Hat JBoss middleware. The shared office with the open source provider is aimed at furthering efforts to position its middleware products and services on the western Swiss market. In this environment, adesso has already won its first new customers.

adesso is also targeting companies in western Switzerland with the aim of acting as a digital business partner for DevOps, OpenShift and enterprise application integration, or as a software development partner in Java environments. Efforts to add staff at the location are already under way. adesso is currently intensively recruiting employees for Lausanne, especially in the fields of project management, business analysis, Java development and middleware. The current space offers sufficient flexibility for the envisioned growth, as it can be expanded to provide additional workspaces in next to no time.

“With its comprehensive portfolio of services, adesso is now stepping up its game in western Switzerland. Our new office allows us to create an ideal starting position for doing an even better and more direct job of serving our French-speaking customers,” Sébastien Fabbri says.

In addition to the founding of adesso Lausanne, this month will see the relocation of the company’s headquarters in Zurich from its current site in the city’s Seebach quarter to the Altstetten district. adesso employs a staff of roughly 70 persons in Zurich. By relocating to the modern IBM building on Zurich’s Vulkanstrasse, adesso Schweiz AG is moving into larger and more attractive offices, thereby underscoring the company’s growth strategy.
