adesso confirmed as a BITMARCK framework agreement partner for a further two years

The IT service provider adesso and BITMARCK have been working together since 2002. Their cooperation has once again been confirmed by the extension of adesso’s framework agreement, with adesso now continuing to support the largest full-service provider in the statutory health insurance IT market until at least the end of 2020.

adesso was able to convince BITMARCK in a Europe-wide tender process, and position itself as the group’s most important framework agreement partner. The future focus of the portfolio of activities will continue to be services relating to the further development of the BITMARCK_21c|ng portfolio management system. It is currently used by 85 percent of German statutory health insurance companies in order to manage approximately 20 million insured individuals. As a standard for statutory health insurers, the system supports all their operational activities and with them a full range of health insurance management functions.

The new framework agreement includes IT services ranging from traditional software development to software engineering for mobile business and work flow development. That work will take into account recent changes to the laws governing the healthcare industry. Areas of focus will include automation and the tailoring of processes.

Dieter Löschky, Managing Director at BITMARCK Software GmbH, explains why adesso was chosen again: “Digitalisation continues to forge ahead in the healthcare industry. Considering those challenges, we are pleased that we have been able to rely on adesso, a trustworthy and competent IT partner, over the past 17 years. adesso again provided a convincing offer and solutions for the period of the new tender. We look forward to our continuing cooperation.”
